INBISTRA at Galicia Biodays 2026: moderating the future of drug discovery in Vigo
May 11, 2026

INBISTRA returned to Galicia Biodays 2026, the leading forum for the biotechnology and life sciences industry of the European Atlantic Area, held on 6 and 7 May at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium and Congress Palace. We were represented by partners Ignacio Sancho-Martinez, PhD and Anabel Perez-Gomez.
This third edition, organised by BIOGA, the Galician life sciences cluster, brought the global ecosystem to Vigo for two intense days. The numbers capture the momentum:
- More than 1,200 attendees
- Around 2,000 one-to-one partnering meetings
- 130 world-renowned speakers
- 500 companies represented
- Nine international bioregions and delegates from roughly 20 countries
Ignacio had the privilege of moderating the round table “How the medicines of the future are built: science, personalization, and new production capabilities”. The panel covered a great deal of ground: AI tooling in early discovery, where precision medicine is genuinely delivering on its promise, the leverage of early diagnosis as one of the highest-impact interventions in healthcare, and the often underappreciated reality that none of it scales until manufacturing is solved.
We thank the panellists for a sharp and candid conversation: Susana Conde (Johnson & Johnson), Santiago de Torres Sanahuja (President of Atrys Health and Vice President of AseBio), and Daniel Sujo (Strategy and Transformation Director at Lonza). Each brought a distinct lens, and the discussion was richer for it.
At INBISTRA, we specialise in early-stage biotech strategy and valuation, from scientific and translational assessment to preclinical planning, investment readiness, and portfolio positioning. Forums like Galicia Biodays are where these conversations turn into partnerships, and Galicia continues to punch well above its weight in life sciences.
Our sincere thanks to BIOGA for the organisation and the invitation, and to the colleagues, partners, and innovators who made these two days so worthwhile. If you would like to continue the conversation, drop us a line at contact@inbistra.com.
