INBISTRA announces strategic alliance with IMPACT Center at Universidad de los Andes
March 23, 2026

INBISTRA is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with IMPACT Center of Interventional Medicine for Precision and Advanced Cellular Therapy at Universidad de los Andes (Santiago, Chile).
IMPACT is a translational research center funded by Chile's National Agency for Research and Development (ANID Chile) dedicated to advancing new treatments and advanced therapies toward clinical application across high-unmet-need therapeutic areas. The center brings together technological development and clinical perspective with the aim of accelerating access to advanced therapies in Chile and strengthening the broader ecosystem required to bring them closer to patients.
For Ignacio Sancho-Martinez, PhD, Managing Partner of INBISTRA: “This alliance is a natural extension of our mission, supporting early-stage and academically rooted biotech programs with the translational strategy and asset prioritization frameworks needed to achieve development readiness.” The collaboration reflects INBISTRA's translational-first approach to portfolio decision-making, grounded in scientific depth and a clear understanding of downstream development requirements.
“As IMPACT moves into a consolidation phase, INBISTRA's experience has been key in helping us shape the development pathway and strengthen our ability to translate innovative solutions into real opportunities for patients,” says Miguel Rebolledo Las Heras, General Manager of the Basal Center IMPACT.
Through this alliance, both organizations will work to strengthen the strategic framing around IMPACT's pipeline, supporting more rigorous decisions on program positioning, prioritization, and development pathways as programs move from early research into structured translational stages.
The alliance also reflects the growing importance of stronger connections between the European and Latin American biopharma ecosystems, an axis that holds significant potential for the global advanced therapy landscape.
